THE PARISKY GROUP APPOINTS JEAN KING

AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

 

 

(HARTFORD, CT)  November  30, 2005. . . Jean King , Senior Development Officer at The Parisky Group, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer and will assume management of the public policy consulting firm effective January 1, 2006 . Current CEO Flora Parisky will remain at the firm as President, managing key areas of two major projects and other special assignments.

 

Ms. King has been with The Parisky Group for nearly ten years. In addition to her role as Senior Development Director, she has a strong background in non-profit management, fund development and strategic planning. During her tenure at The Parisky Group, she has been instrumental in raising over $10 million in private, state and federal funds to help the firm’s clients achieve their objectives. Prior to joining The Parisky Group Ms. King served as Executive Director for two major non-profits. The Parisky Group will be hiring a new Development Director to expand staff capabilities in that area. Ms. King will continue to oversee this effort.

 

Founded in 1983, The Parisky Group specializes in public policy research, strategic planning for non-profits, marketing and communications, social service and health issues, historic preservation and community development initiatives. Clients have included the Hartford Action Plan on Infant Health, The Bushnell Park Foundation, the Connecticut Food Policy Council and the Hartford Preservation Alliance. The firm is about to embark on its second decade of work for the Breaking the Cycle teen pregnancy campaign in Hartford and is helping to raise awareness and funding to make major improvements in Pope Park, an Olmsted-designed urban park in the Frog Hollow section of Hartford.
