THE PARISKY GROUP NAMES DARLENE ROBERTS, 
FORMER YMCA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, TO FILL DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR POSITION

( HARTFORD , CT )  March 23, 2006. . . The Parisky Group, a consulting firm specializing in public policy and nonprofit management services, has hired Darlene Roberts to head the firm’s development services.

Formerly the Executive Director of the East Hartford YMCA, Ms. Roberts served as program associate at The Parisky Group while attending Trinity College, where she received a Masters of Arts Degree in Public Policy in 1997.

A graduate of Hampton University in Virginia (1994) and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Ms. Roberts said, “I opted to leave the Sunbelt and remain here in New England after graduating from Trinity, partly because of my family ties in the Hartford area, challenging career opportunities here and the fact that I have successfully mastered driving in the snow.”

“Ms. Roberts is an accomplished professional, bringing The Parisky Group’s clients proven experience in strategic planning, fund development, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, and grant writing,” explained Jean King, the firm’s CEO.

Prior to assuming the Development Officer position at The Parisky Group, Ms. Roberts oversaw the YMCA’s staff, led the board and community volunteers in annual appeals, a capital campaign and managed a diverse portfolio of state grants to support programs.
